You get dealt 2 face up cards and the dealer also 2 but just one is face up. You play on your own vs the dealer, you’re not playing against or as team with other players. If you tie with the dealer, then you get your money back. If you beat the dealer then you get double your bet. If they do not, then you get paid and then the game continues for the other players. If they do, it's a push, and everyone else loses. After you get Blackjack, the dealer will check if they do as well. If you get a blackjack (natural 2 card 21), then you get a payout (usually 3:2, but it varies). You can double down or split your hand for certain hands.Įach round is until each player finishes, then the dealer will complete their hand. You bet before the dealer deals any cards, and can't change your bet at any point. If I have a 10 and an 9, and the dealer has a 4 showing, I'll stay, and hope the dealer busts (goes over 21) or gets a lower card pair then me (most casinos have them stop after they reach 17).
